🎤 Meet Curtis Cedras

“My name is Curtis Cedras. I am 19 years old and a proud graduate of SBSA, where I completed my Diploma in Business Management and Administration.

I joined Scouting in 2018 on Praslin, inspired by my sister. Under the leadership of Ms Marilene Marie, I learned valuable lessons that continue to guide me today.”

🏆 On Winning the President’s Cup

“Receiving the President’s Cup was emotional and unforgettable. It was something I had been working towards from the very beginning.

Holding that cup reminded me of my school motto: Determination Prevails. I felt proud and deeply grateful for the journey.”

🔥 What Drives Excellence

“My biggest motivation was self-discipline. I set my goal early, to earn the President’s Cup, and committed myself fully.

With faith in God and a clear purpose, I balanced both academic success and personal growth."

⚜️ The Impact of Scouting

“Scouting shaped who I am today. It taught me leadership, responsibility, teamwork, and resilience.

As a team captain, I learned how to guide others — skills I later applied in school and beyond. Scouting taught me to adapt, improvise, and keep going no matter the challenge.”

🎭 Proudest Achievement

“One of my proudest moments was participating in Moman Kreativite.

For three consecutive years, I earned gold medals in drama, music, and storytelling — helping my academy secure first place each time.

It showed me that with dedication, anything is possible.”

💪 Overcoming Challenges

“The journey wasn’t always easy. There were moments when schoolwork became overwhelming, and I had to make sacrifices.

Sometimes support was limited — but those challenges made me stronger. They taught me resilience and focus.”

✨ What Success Means

“Success means continuing to try, no matter how many times you fail.

It’s about believing in yourself, even when others doubt you, and pushing forward regardless of obstacles.”

⚖️ Balancing Life & Scouting

“Balancing studies, personal life, and Scouting was challenging at times. I had to prioritise and manage my time carefully.

Now that I’ve graduated, I can participate more actively again — but even before, I always stayed connected to Scouting.”

“Keep believing in yourself, even when it feels like the world is against you.

You only have one life — chase your dreams. The sky is the limit.
