First aid, water safety and conservation. Many of our scouts are the first responder at home.
Scouts is the heart of the movement. Young people work in small patrols, each with its own leader, and take genuine responsibility for planning and running activities.
Scouts camp regularly — from weekends in the hills to the national camp. They learn to pitch and strike a tent, cook on a fire, read a map, and look after one another in the process.
Alongside the outdoors, Scouts cover first aid, water safety, environmental conservation and public service. Many of our Scouts are the first responders in their own households.
Every Scout gives service. Beach clean-ups, helping at national events, and supporting elderly neighbours are all part of ordinary scouting here.
