It is with deep sadness that the Seychelles Scout Association mourns the passing of our beloved Scout Leader, Miss Marilene, who faithfully led our Praslin Troop.
Miss Marilene was far more than a Scout Leader. She was a mother to her Scouts, a mentor to many young people, and an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Through her guidance, strength and dedication, she helped mould many young leaders and left a lasting mark on countless lives.
She was a woman of strong character who stood firmly by her principles. Her love for God guided the way she lived and served others. She cherished togetherness, always sought the company of others, and constantly reached out to those around her. Her generosity extended beyond Scouting, as she readily helped those in need and remained actively involved in her community.
Her absence will be deeply felt, but the values she taught, the lives she touched and the love she gave will continue to live on through all those she inspired.
The Seychelles Scout Association extends its heartfelt condolences to Miss Marilene’s family, her Praslin Scouts, fellow Scout Leaders, and the entire Scout family during this difficult time.
May her soul rest in eternal peace. 🕊️💐
