Safe Scouting: Our Commitment to Trust and Security
Your safety and the safety of our scouts are paramount. To ensure a secure and trustworthy environment for everyone:
- Character Check: All potential volunteers are subject to a thorough character check by the local Police Station.
- Interview Process: You will have an interview with the SSA Management to ensure alignment with our values and mission.
Training and Development
- Initial Training: New volunteers undergo comprehensive training to familiarize themselves with our scouting ethos and methodologies.
- Ongoing Learning Opportunities: As you grow within our movement, additional training sessions are available, covering various aspects of scouting.
- Expertise and Accreditation: Our training programs are developed and delivered by local scout trainers accredited by the Africa Scout Region. We also occasionally have trainers from Africa and the World Scout Bureau providing training, both virtually and in-person when feasible.
